Palamountains MAX Plus

Product Overview

Is your herd reaching its full production potential?

PalaMOUNTAINS MAX is a worldwide patented formulation specially designed by Massey University for producing cows during the lactation period. The patented formula of locked and protected vitamins are delivered where they will be fully utilised in the digestive system. This allows maximum absorption and supply of feed for better overall health.

PalaMOUNTAINS MAX Plus is packed with Omega 3, 6 & 9, B Group & C Vitamins, A, D & E Vitamins, Electrolytes & Choline, Biotin, Antioxidants all suspended in a patented oil solution. This allows the animal to absorb up to 99.5 percent of the nutrients, unlike powders and pills with absorption rates of just 10 to 20 percent.

But the real kicker for PalaMOUNTAINS MAX Plus is the inclusion of multi vitamins that are encapsulated in a vegetable coating. This world-wide patented coating system allows the vitamins to bypass the rumen and travel directly into the second and third stomach compartments of a ruminant where the real action begins. This process avoids wastage and allows for maximum absorption of nutrients.

This leads to:

  • Improved absorption of nutrients.
  • Better nutrient utilisation.
  • Less wastage of foods & nutrients.
  • Improved gut efficiency

PalaMOUNTAINS MAX Plus, an effective, reliable, easy to administer feed supplement to assist in overall health and milk production.

PalaMOUNTAINS MAX Plus is a concentrate available in bulk 200L drums and 1000L pods for off-site mixing and can be pre-blended with molasses in 200L drums or 1000L pods.

Fequently Asked Questions

What are palaMOUNTAINS MAX Plus protected vitamins and their importance?

  • Unprotected Choline added to feed is extensively destroyed in the rumen.
  • Effects of coated Choline on post-calving health are well established.
  • Choline is essential in metabolism of fats and transmission of nerve impulses.

Folic Acid (B9)

  • Unless fed in a protected form, Folic Acid supplied in the feed is almost totally destroyed in the rumen.
  • Research has proven that the demands of fetal growth pre-calving out strip the rumen’s ability to produce Folic Acid.
  • Essential for general metabolism, including protein synthesis, Folic acid is required for the production red and white blood cells.

Riboflavin (B2)

  • Riboflavin is extensively degraded in the rumen.
  • Has a role in energy metabolism and growth.

A note about Vitamin E:

  • Is an antioxidant and thereby permits cells to maintain their natural defences.
  • Approximately half of vitamin E supplied in feed is destroyed by rumen microbial flora.

Don’t cows produce their own B vitamins?

The microbes of the rumen produce many B complex vitamins in quantities that are sufficient for moderate levels of production. Numerous studies have shown performance and health benefits to supplementation of B complex vitamins.
During periods of stress, low or erratic feed intake or during high demands (high milk production) rumen microbial production may not be sufficient to meet demands.

Are the vitamins in PalaMOUNTAINS MAX Plus safe if fed at higher levels?

The vitamins in PalaMOUNTAINS MAX Plus have a wide margin of safety when fed to lactating, non-lactating dairy cows, replacement heifers, calves and bulls.
